Our training methods:
- We encourage as much owner participation as possible to benefit from the training
- Families welcome (and encouraged) to the outdoor classes. *Indoor classes have limited spacing so please consider how many people need to come along.
- Children not recommended at Dog Behaviour Class sessions. *New class coming soon
- Increasing the owner’s understanding of their dog.
- Positive training methods with gentle corrections. What we call a common-sense approach
- We do not use harsh physical methods or shouting
- Information on rewarding your dog, the do’s and dont’s
- Games to increase mental stimulation and avoid boredom
- Short exercises changing frequently to avoid boredom and increase memory
- Puppy Foundation Class Sessions incorporate short exercises changing frequently and repeated each week due to the flexible booking of this class. This is a proven method over decades and you advance the training with the level of your dog.
- Junior Dog Academy Sessions will focus on a few different training elements at each session. *If you can’t come to successive sessions you will most likely repeat something that you have already done, but the training is pretty flexible and can be ad-hoc.
- Indoor classes incorporate a progressive 6-week training programme, with each week brining a new element or progression of the previous week, this is a different approach but equally as successful.
Our trainers have a wide range of breed knowledge and welcome all breeds large and small into the classes.
You will be trained by a fully qualified Advanced Professional Dog Training Instructor with the CIDBT and Master Professional Dog Training Instructor with the Guild of Dog Trainers.
Please note the age ranges on the classes.
Strictly no reactive or aggressive dogs in either the Puppy Foundation or Junior Dog Academy classes. If your dog is reactive (barking, even if through excitement and won’t calm down, you will need some Behaviour Training – please get in touch).
